TripAdvisor travelers honor Fiji Beach Resort & Spa
It's official - we're one of the South Pacific's top spots for relaxation.
We were delighted to receive a coveted award from TripAdvisor, the world's leading travel website, it its Travelers' Choice 2012 Awards, for being one of the 'Top 25 Relaxation/Spa Hotels' in the South Pacific. This is the 10th annual awards for TripAdvisor, which sees the company recognize outstanding hotels and resorts based on the reviews and opinions of its vast global community of discerning travelers.
The award follows hot on the heels of our recent International Spa of the Year award, and the introduction of our convenient new poolside Spa.
Update: February's Essential maintenance
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional facilities, we'll be conducting maintenance work during February. We will endeavour to maintain our normal levels of comfort and service during this time - guest rooms will be allocated away from the areas being enhanced.
L'Epicier deli will be closed for kitchen maintenance from 21 February - 12 March. Gourmet pizzas will be available from Nuku and In-Room Dining, with lunchtime baquettes/sandwiches and salads made to order at Nuku. Maravu restaurant will close on 3 February and reopen on 20 February with new decking and enhanced facilities. Some pool decking will be replaced between 7-14 February. Pools will remain open during this week, but with some disturbance, with pools on one side of Nuku fully accessible, and work conducted on the other side. Pool activities will continue.

NUKU CHEF A PROUD AMBASSADOR FOR FIJI
Chef Mere Rasigatale of Nuku, our acclaimed signature restaurant, has confirmed her place as one of the culinary world's rising stars, by representing Fiji in the Pacific Rim semi-finals of the prestigious Hans Bueschkens Junior Chefs Challenge 2011.
Open to chefs under 25 years old, the Challenge brings together the world's best and brightest emerging chefs, with up-and-coming talent from over 90 countries represented. Mere, who has previously won national accolades including Pastry Chef of the Year and Runner-Up Junior Chef of the Year at the 2010 National Fiji Salon Culinaire awards, was delighted to win the coveted opportunity to represent Fiji in the Challenge semi-final. In the hard-fought contest, held in July in Auckland, New Zealand, Mere competed against top young chefs from Australia, New Zealand, Vanuatu and Guam to create a three course gourmet meal for eight people in just four hours.
Mere, who narrowly missed out to Australian representative Cameron Whetton on a place at the World Final to be held in South Korea in May 2012, said: "I was very proud to represent Fiji at this world-renowned event.
"My peers were all incredibly talented, and competition was fierce. It was an exciting and challenging experience, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to meet each other and represent our countries at this top level. I wish Cameron the very best of luck in the world finals."

We've scooped two top accolades at the 13th annual Pevonia Botanica Annual Awards 2011, including the coveted 'International Spa of the Year' award for outstanding service and growth as a Pevonia Botanica concept spa.
The prestigious awards recognise excellence in service and standards in spas, salons, therapists and managers throughout Australia and beyond, including the Maldives, Seychelles, Indonesia, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands. We were also thrilled that Spa Manager Akosita Tukana's expertise, dedication and achievements were recognised at the glittering awards ceremony, where she was awarded runner-up Spa Manager of the Year.
